The Loma Linda University School of Public Health is the public health school within Loma Linda University Health (LLUH), located in Loma Linda, California. The mission of LLUH is to continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ, "To make man whole." The school of public health's philosophy on wholeness is the harmonious relationship that exists when healthy individuals are able to thrive in resilient communities supported by sustainable systems of health.
History
The School of Public Health started as the School of Tropical and Preventive Medicine in 1948. The School officially became the School of Public Health and was accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) in 1967.

Peace Corps
The School of Public Health is proud to be partnered with the Peace Corps for its Master's International Program (MIP) and Fellows/USA programs. MIP students complete coursework on the Loma Linda campus in one of seven majors before entering the Peace Corps to fulfill the field experience requirement. Returning Peace Corps volunteers are eligible to enter the Fellows/USA program where overseas experience can be used toward program credit.
